In the rules section there was a discussion about the coin economy in which Lorilynn Parker and others put forth the idea of having a IG market run by PCs at events. This would allow PC Merchants and Craftsmen to have a location to sell their wares at events.

This fits with my updated character as he is a merchant with a small caravan. I was also planning on making and bringing with me to events a small portable market table/stall at which my caravan and its members will sell their wares.

How does this sound.
Market Day is on Saturday and is held for an hour or two in the Tavern.
PCs setup a stall on a tavern table or bring their own from which they sell items or services.

1 - I would suggest setting it up on the lawn outside the Tavern unless it's pouring rain. Open air markets are just cooler IMO plus then the tavern can still be used for tavern-y things during that time. I would recommend earlier rather than later (say, 11 - 2 maybe); get in before the major ritual window and before Plot gets warmed up for the day.

2 - You don't need permission from the Immersion Committee to do this. Go get 'em, tiger. Get a bunch of merchant type people to agree on a time, and I think it's a smashing idea.

3 - If people want to donate pop-up shelters or something for merchants to borrow, or have other ideas for how Immersion can help, I will listen to proposals. I will not invest a bunch of my own money, and certainly not before I have some guarantee that we have a bunch of people who are interested in making this work; I simply have too many other things that I need to be spending it on.

I just bought a rather large portable awning this past weekend at a yard sale. It is actually brown in color and doesn't look at first glance to be artificial materials. Looks like a well made dwarven item Wink

Callen and Joswyn are totally down to hawk some wares Saturday morning. Count us in, if we aren't dead by then and this is still a thing. Very Happy

I was merchanting last game. It's less of a 'Market Day' and more of a 'Captive Audience' at the moment... heh. I will probably not play Basira again this game, but I will have cash to go shopping.

close dialog Character Management

All requests to create a new character or make changes to existing characters is handled by emailing Logistics. When creating a new character or making significant changes to an existing character players should use the Character card maker. For more minor changes players may just describe the change that they wish to make, for example "I wish to spend 200 favor to buy Skill points, and use those skill points to buy 3 purchases of the Skill Reserve". The email should contain the player's name, and if it is an update to an existing character, the character name as it appears on the character card - Logistics may not be aware of which character a nick name goes to.

Players should also email Logistics with Character Production (Items the character is making with Skills such as Smith, Alchemist, or Spell Wright) for the upcoming month so that Logistics is able to make the Item Tags in advance. For example "I wish to use my 50 Smith production to make a standard crafted 1 handed weapon".

Production and Character Updates MUST be submitted no later than the Friday prior to the event in order to provide Logistics sufficient time to complete the request prior to event, unless Logistics has specifically announced a different policy for a specific event (for example, if events are only 2 weeks apart Logistics often allows submissions into the week of event).
