Attention, folks:

As previously stated, there is a student documentary filmmaker who will be exploring the art of LARP for a school project. The end result will be shown at small local film-festival environments. She will be attending June and July events, to film, as well as working with some specific players out of and between games.

The appropriate releases will be present for you at event.

Baylee understands the need to be discreet and to not be all up in our noses while we're doing our thing, we're aiming for minimal disruption of the gaming environment. Hopefully no more so than having our own people out there with cameras from time to time has been, but unlike our own filming she is likely to be as interested in catching some of the quiet things as the action-packed ones. She is very respectful of our hobby and is here to learn, so she may ask to speak with people individually, but again I stress that we're going for as little disruption as possible.

Naturally we want to put our best feet/paws/skeletal claws forward at times like this, in terms of staying In-Game and maintaining immersion, but our standards have gone up in that regard and I am confident everyone is going to be pretty darned into it this month. Flagler can be a site riddled with distractions, ideally you won't even really notice this one.

Thanks for your support, lets go out there and get ourselves glorious dead! Or stay entirely alive. That would be great, too.

ON THIS NOTE!: I will be bringing my FULL make-up kit and restocking a bit. I aim to be on site as early as possible as I do not work Friday ever!

I ask a few things of you!

1) It takes me a long time to set up and get in to character, if you need help, do what you can before coming to me and I can fill in the blanks. OR help me set up my area so I can -ahem- service -snicker- you all faster.

2) GET IN TOUCH WITH ME BEFORE GAME! facebook, text, pm, email. All will be checked before game. If you need a piece of garb, make-up, prosthetic, ideas. Let me know so i can pack accordingly

3) Garb! I am going to be getting more scrub pants here soon, I also have a wide variety of garb from other characters (even stuff for guys) that I am willing to lend. I ask that you treat it respectfully and return it promptly at the end of game.

3 1/2) Phys reps. I am known for having everything from human bones to fake dreads, dried flowers, tapestries, extra period sleeping gear, and even books. You may borrow if you follow the rules for my other stuff.

4) If you use it, clean it (garb excluded minus any mud patches etc that I don't want to pack with it)! I have sponges, brushes, wipes, bottles, phys reps. I don't want the bristles on my brushes mangled, I don't want grease make up on my sponges, and I certainly do not want anything broken, or to go and use my sponge for white only to find green smudge with it. Clean it well, treat it well, and it will treat you well in the form of well applied make-up..and I will treat you well in not poking your eye with my abused brush.

Even though I am part of immersion committee, I do this out of the kindness of my heart. This is not my assigned task. I pay money for the make-up, garb, props, and do not get bribe or anything for taking time out of my prep, game, and resources for helping out. If you become impatient with me, or treat my stuff like random plot things (which should be treated better btw..I've been on plot, I've seen the carnage...make it easy for them to screw us over properly, clean up after yourself). I will tell you to fend for yourself and not make an effort to help again. I am missing over half of my personal supply from shit like that. Over 300 buckaroonies in make-up and brushes gone from my stash, left to mold, or just plain destroyed.

Most of you are very good about this (danica, you are so patient and helpful), but I have to disclaimer for the sake of my time and effort.

I spoke some more with the film crew on Sunday, and they are very excited to be coming. We talked a little about filming format and keeping a low profile, which lead to a request:

The film team would love to face interviews and commentary with the players during the day, but do not want to intrude on you to ask you for your time. If you see a camera, and you have some time and aren't up to something specific, feel free to duck off and talk to it: I guarantee they will appreciate hearing from you. The amount of time and opportunity you give them is entirely in your control, but they are there to learn and to hear about what we are up to, in and out of game, so consider it!
