More have been updated.
Problem- The only regular site that is available in June is the weekend of Junefaire, which means much of our playership would be torn between the two. So, we are forgoing that opportunity. I am waiting to hear back from the BSA Chief Seattle Council concerning the availability of Camp Parsons. Other than that, the only other option I have found is Brooks Memorial, which as some of you may remember, is in the middle of the freaking state, south of Yakima.
So, if anyone has any other suggestions, I am all ears. |

Brooks Memorial goes down as one of the worst sites if only because I enjoy being able to breathe. If there are other options that can be explored that would be great. _________________ I have been caught in the wake of your absence;

I would prefer not Brooks Memorial as well. Not only is it a lot further, it is in the middle of nowhere, and I can just imagine my transmission finally giving out on the pass.... I've already had one experience of being stranded on the side of the highway in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone signal. Not fun. _________________ Ask me about custom garb!

| I'm Sorry. I wasn't asking for opinions, though they are noted. I remember the site. I am asking if anyone has any alternatives. |

I was around with the whole fallout with the new ranger at Camp Sheppard, and remember with all the BS that went on that you and Sandy said it wouldn't be an option anymore. Not sure if you have ever looked into that camp since then, but its been like 6years, maybe rangers have changed again? I dunno, could be an option to look into, then again also could not be worth it givin the history there with the double bookings and such =/. | Camp Sheppard would cost in the range of $1700-2200 for the weekend. Hence, it's not on the list. |

Lame, I figured it'd still be a rediculous option. sigh, just out of curiosity, who decides on prices and such for the sites, does the actual Ranger in charge choose all of that, or is that something decided by a BSA council? _________________ D : "Sandy's outside playing a Deathknight"

Yeah, we've been to Parsons but I had to skim over the pictures and it looks like the last time was Jan 2005 (Nov 04 was there too).
Not that the pics really jog the old memory banks.
Personally I'd rather Parsons, but, even considering the drive I actually liked Brooks Memorial. But perhaps it was the fried chicken at afters that's warping my perspective. _________________ "The only skills I have the patience to learn are those that have no real application in life."

I asking this only as a suggestion so please take it that way. If you are looking as far south as Brooks Memorial: what about looking in nothern Oregon? _________________ I have been caught in the wake of your absence;

Ah-ha, I believe my first game was February '05, and I think it may have been at Camp Parsons as well, but I'm not positive. Seems like a perfectly good option for a one-off site to me.
However, if that is unavailable... hmm. Is Delezzene unavailable as well? It's summer, so sites with andirondaks instead of full cabins would be possible. How about the site that MT used? I'm not sure of the exact cost, but they charge based on which buildings you use, so if you avoid using the big dining hall (there's kitchinettes in most of the cabins, so you don't really need it) I think it's fairly reasonable. _________________ Ask me about custom garb!

Parsons is unavailable. Delezenne is also booked for that month. I tried Deception pass as well. Nada. Brooks is all I have been able to come up with.
If someone from Oregon can find us a camp, please let me know. I'd be happy to talk to them. |

Maybe something in eastern Washington? Besides Brooks? Those of us over here can *shudder* drive through the mountains for once. _________________ We are young. Wandering the face of the earth. Wondering what our dreams might be worth. Learning that we're only immortal for a limited time. ~ Rush
